Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and manage patient pain per policy and best practices
- Implement, evaluate and revise patient care plans based on patient response
- Provide patient and family teaching tailored to learning needs and cultural considerations
- Document care and patient status accurately using real-time electronic health records
- Participate in unit quality improvement, risk management and shared governance
- Delegate and evaluate delegated patient care activities; precept and orient new staff as assigned
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Adherence to credentialing requirements per Luminis Health nursing bylaws
- Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing
- BLS - American Heart Association Health Provider
