Responsibilities: Manage the revenue accounting process including month-end close, invoicing, compliance with ASC 606, and collaboration with other teams to ensure revenue accuracy.
Skills: Proficiency in NetSuite, strong understanding of ASC 606 and GAAP, advanced Excel skills, and attention to detail.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred; 1+ years in revenue accounting, ideally in technology or SaaS companies.
Location: This position is based in Austin, TX, with less than 10% travel required.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $70,000 - $90,000.
About The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Revenue Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience with SaaS or subscription-based revenue models, and proficiency in NetSuite.
What You’ll Be Doing:
· Own the revenue accounting process, including monthly close activities and reconciliations.
· Be an integral part of the billing process, to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and resolution of billing discrepancies.
· Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and other applicable revenue recognition standards.
· Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue-related schedules.
· Collaborate with FP&A, Sales, and Revenue Operations teams to validate revenue data and resolve discrepancies.
· Maintain and improve revenue processes and internal controls.
· Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
· Support system enhancements and automation initiatives within NetSuite.
What We Are Looking For:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
· 1+ years of experience in revenue accounting, ideally in a SaaS or technology company.
· Strong understanding of ASC 606 and GAAP principles.
· Proficiency in NetSuite; experience with other ERP systems is a plus.
· Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
· Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a remote environment.

· Experience with Order to Cash (O2C) workflows.
· Prior involvement in process improvement or system implementation projects.
· Experience with Sales Tax management systems (Avalara preferred).
