Senior Product Marketing and Operations Manager

Lead is a fintech building banking infrastructure for embedded financial products and services. We operate an FDIC-insured bank headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri.  Additionally, we have offices in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, and New York City, where our technical, product, design, and legal teams operate.

We are built for a constantly evolving financial landscape, where new ventures and technological advancements emerge daily. Guided by a team of entrepreneurs and technologists with decades of experience navigating intricate banking and payments regulations, Lead blends regulatory and technological expertise to help our fintech partners scale their operations with compliance and creativity.

Simply put, Lead offers the essential attributes that every fintech seeks in a partner bank. First, unparalleled technical expertise from a distinguished team of developers with an extensive understanding of the banking and payments systems. Second, oversight expertise, automated compliance systems, and bespoke program management to navigate the ever-shifting regulatory landscape. Finally, a commitment to transparency and operational rigor to ensure everyone’s money does what it’s supposed to do.

Role Description: As we scale, we’re looking for a systems-minded and communications-driven Senior Product Marketing and Operations Manager to help us deliver products more effectively—both internally across teams and externally to partners.

In this role you will:
  • Product Marketing:
  • Write clear, compelling, and technically accurate documentation for new features, partner guides, and internal FAQs.
  • Own partner-facing product communications, including changelogs, release notes, launch emails, and documentation updates.
  • Help define and maintain the structure of our documentation system so that partners can self-serve effectively.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate technical concepts into accessible, useful content for customers and internal teams.
  • Build scalable systems to ensure documentation and product comms stay up to date.

  • Product Operations
  • Design and maintain processes to improve how product decisions are documented, communicated, and executed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional product launches, including checklists, documentation readiness, and internal communication across Engineering, CX, Compliance, and GTM.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to create internal visibility around roadmap progress, priorities, and feature readiness.
  • Identify gaps in internal processes and help build tools or templates to solve them (e.g., launch playbooks, retrospective frameworks, changelogs).
  • Track key product delivery metrics and work with stakeholders to improve speed, quality, and predictability.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in product operations, product marketing, technical writing, or a related role in a SaaS or fintech company.
  • Ability to bring clarity to ambiguity and thrive at the intersection of structure and storytelling
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams with product, engineering, compliance, and customer-facing functions
  • Strong writing skills with an eye for clarity, tone, and technical accuracy
  • Understanding of scalable processes (and awareness of over-engineering pitfalls)
  • Comfort switching between strategic process improvement and hands-on writing
  • Bonus: Experience in an API-first product, B2B SaaS platform, or fintech infrastructure business
  • Experience writing developer-facing documentation or changelogs
  • Familiarity with tools such as Notion, docs-as-code systems, GitHub, Looker, or Jira
  • Experience collaborating with compliance, legal, or finance teams
  • Comfort reading API documentation or product specifications

What we offer:
  • At Lead, we design our benefits to support company culture and principles, to foster an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to create the conditions for our team to give their best in both work and life
  • Competitive compensation, including opportunities for equity grants, based on experience, geographic location, and role
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k Matching, and other wellness benefits, including FSA, HSA and HRA
  • Paid parental leave
  • Flexible vacation policy, including PTO and paid holidays
  • A fun and challenging team environment in a dynamic industry with ample opportunities for career growth
