Senior ML Engineer, Ad Performance
Skills
- 5+ years software development and ML engineering experience, including 3+ years in advertising systems
- Expertise in at least one ML domain: recommendation systems, advertising algorithms, NLP, or computer vision
- Proficiency in Python and SQL and experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (Spark, Ray) and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
- Proven track record optimizing ad performance and driving measurable KPI improvements
- Experience building production ML pipelines, real-time decisioning, and monitoring systems
- Strong analytical problem-solving and effective communication and project management skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and scale advertising algorithms to optimize engagement and revenue concurrently
- Apply advanced ML techniques (e.g., reinforcement learning, deep learning for ranking) to improve ad performance
- Design and build scalable real-time decisioning infrastructure for millions of requests per day
- Author, deploy, and maintain production ML pipelines and models with robust monitoring
- Design and run rigorous A/B and multivariate experiments to measure model impact on business KPIs
- Improve ETL, feature pipelines, and model serving to ensure reliable ad delivery
- Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams globally to launch high-impact ad features
- Evaluate and integrate emerging ML technologies that create competitive advantage
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a related field preferred but not required
