Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets
- Perform soft-tissue surgeries and dental procedures according to ability and interest
- Conduct wellness exams, diagnostics, and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with technicians and support staff to ensure 2:1 staff-to-doctor patient care
- Document medical records, communicate treatment plans and follow-up with clients
- Coordinate drop-offs, callbacks, and diagnostic reviews within scheduled work hours
- Refer or coordinate advanced cases with partnered mobile specialists and nearby referral hospitals
Education
- DVM or VMD degree required
- State veterinary license in good standing for New York prior to start date
