Managing Account Supervisor, Food & Ag

Ketchum is a global communications consultancy seeking a Managing Account Supervisor for its Food & Ag practice. The role requires an experienced PR leader who can manage sizable accounts, deliver strategic counsel and measurable programs, drive media relations in food/nutrition/health, manage budgets and profitability, and develop team members.

Skills

  • Strong media relations and pitching skills, especially in food, nutrition, and health
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation abilities
  • Budget and P&L management for client programs
  • Experience with measurement tools and analytics for PR programs
  • Ability to lead and develop teams and manage client relationships
  • Trend-spotting and idea generation for campaign development

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and integrated communications programs tailored to food & agriculture clients
  • Manage account financials, ensure profitability, and identify incremental business opportunities
  • Lead media relations efforts, including pitching, message development, and media training
  • Research, write, edit, and present high-level client materials (plans, POVs, Q&As, press materials)
  • Analyze program metrics and online conversations, adjust tactics based on measurement
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop team members, providing timely feedback and training
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through proactive counsel and flawless execution

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field preferred
  • Master’s degree in communications or related field desirable but not required
