Special Education Teacher with ASL - Queens
Job Description:
Knowledge Road is seeking a certified Special Education Teacher with proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) to provide SETSS to a student in Queens 11102. The ideal candidate will have experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students and will be able to deliver instruction and support using ASL in alignment with IEP mandates.
Responsibilities:
Deliver SETSS in accordance with the student's IEP
Use ASL to facilitate instruction and communication
Maintain accurate session notes and student progress data
Collaborate with school staff and families as needed
Qualifications:
NYS Special Education Teacher Certification
Fluency in American Sign Language
Prior experience with SETSS or special education services
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Compensation:1 student/hour – $60/hr
2 students/hour – $70/hr
3–4 students/hour – $75/hr
5–8 students/hour – $100/hr
