Senior Network Engineer (Remote - US) - job 1 of 2

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in a large-scale enterprise network transformation initiative, implementing advanced routing solutions and next-generation network architectures. You will lead hands-on migrations, design EVPN/VXLAN fabrics, and ensure high-performance, scalable, and redundant network operations. This role combines technical expertise with strategic execution, offering the opportunity to influence architecture decisions while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will work in a dynamic, high-impact environment, contributing directly to cutting-edge network initiatives for a major organization.

Accountabilities

• Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of enterprise-scale router migrations and network cutovers.
• Design, validate, and implement EVPN/VXLAN architectures with multiple overlays for scalability, redundancy, and performance.
• Collaborate with network engineering teams to ensure smooth integration and minimal disruption during transitions.
• Configure, test, and deploy Junos OS on MX and EX platforms in production environments.
• Provide expert guidance on migrations from MC-LAG to EVPN, including design validation, troubleshooting, and post-migration support.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network designs, cutover strategies, and operational processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Juniper routing, EVPN/VXLAN fabrics, and advanced routing protocols.
• Support critical events, including after-hours cutovers and escalations as needed.

• 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise or large data center environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Juniper MX and EX platforms.
• Strong knowledge of core routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.
• Proficiency in Junos OS configuration, troubleshooting, and production deployment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale router replacement or network migration projects.
• Familiarity with EVPN design, deployment, and operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: Juniper certifications (JNCIP, JNCIE), network automation/scripting experience (Python, Ansible), knowledge of security best practices, and experience with enterprise change management processes.
