We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building and optimizing cloud-native database infrastructure. This role centers on designing and implementing advanced auto-scaling capabilities for distributed systems to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability at scale. You will work closely with core database and cloud infrastructure teams, tackling complex challenges in distributed computing, Kubernetes, and cloud performance optimization. Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain auto-scaling infrastructure for cloud-native distributed database systems.
• Collaborate closely with core database and data plane teams to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Benchmark, profile, and optimize distributed systems for vertical and horizontal scaling.
• Develop robust, fault-tolerant, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy and maintain services on Kubernetes clusters and public cloud environments.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions to enhance cloud performance and system resilience.
• Support continuous improvement of internal tools, processes, and best practices for distributed systems engineering.

• 5+ years of software development experience building and operating scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go, C++, Rust, or similar systems programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with benchmarking, profiling, performance tuning, and scaling of databases or cloud systems.
• Proven experience with distributed system design and cloud-native architecture.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to performance optimization and infrastructure reliability.
