MES Engineer - Global Proficy Platform Lead (Remote)

In this role, you will serve as the technical leader for a globally distributed Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform, supporting over 100 plants worldwide. You will ensure operational excellence, system resiliency, and process optimization while leading platform upgrades and deployments. This position requires hands-on expertise in Proficy Plant Applications, Historian, iFix, and Operations Hub, as well as strong proficiency in SQL and API management. You will collaborate across engineering, operations, and IT teams to implement robust, scalable solutions that meet diverse plant requirements. The role offers a dynamic, challenging environment where each day presents unique opportunities to solve complex problems and impact manufacturing operations on a global scale.

Accountabilities:

• Maintain and optimize Proficy MES platform across globally distributed manufacturing sites.
• Implement, configure, and monitor Proficy Plant Applications, Historian, iFix, and Operations Hub.
• Apply engineering principles and operational discipline to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical platform issues under time-sensitive conditions.
• Lead platform upgrades, start-ups, and deployments at diverse plant locations.
• Train and provide guidance to site teams on platform best practices and system nuances.
• Collaborate with IT and service teams to align platform roadmap with business objectives.
• Monitor system performance and implement measures to minimize downtime and ensure resiliency.

• 5+ years of experience in MES platforms with Proficy and associated application components.
• Proven expertise in Proficy Plant Applications, Historian, iFix, and Operations Hub.
• Strong experience in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing integrated solutions across OT and IT environments.
• Demonstrated ability to define technical platform requirements and implement solutions.
• Experience deploying and upgrading Proficy platforms across multiple global sites.
• Proficiency in REST API environments and managing Docker container deployments.
• Skilled in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills; able to translate technical information to diverse audiences.

• Competitive salary range: $105,000 – $170,000 per year.
