As a Java Developer, you will play an integral role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable, efficient solutions. This role offers hands-on experience with modern Java technologies and exposure to insurance system projects, with opportunities to contribute to both technical innovation and system optimization. You will participate in problem-solving discussions, debug and enhance existing applications, and support the full software development lifecycle. Your work will directly impact the effectiveness, performance, and reliability of business-critical systems while helping drive strategic technology initiatives.

Accountabilities

·         Design, code, test, debug, and document software applications.

·         Develop and maintain insurance system projects, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

·         Collaborate with team members and IT colleagues to evaluate requirements and deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs.

·         Apply and expand knowledge of technologies for internet, intranet, and internal applications.

·         Participate in problem-solving discussions and share ideas to improve system functionality and performance.

·         Gain hands-on experience with Guidewire and related technologies to support project delivery.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

·         Solid proficiency in Java programming; knowledge of Python is a plus.

·         Exposure to or interest in Guidewire Insurance Suite (experience preferred but not required).

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly.

·         Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also taking initiative on independent tasks.
