This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Nationwide IT Services, Inc. We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Application and Database SME – Lead in District of Columbia (USA) or Virginia (USA).

We’re looking for a senior-level technical expert to lead and optimize mission-critical Oracle-based environments supporting complex Department of Defense operations. This highly strategic role requires advanced proficiency in enterprise applications, databases, and middleware infrastructure, as well as the ability to guide high-impact architecture decisions. Working in a dynamic federal context, you’ll collaborate with executive stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing systems that support over 300,000 users.

Accountabilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert on Oracle infrastructure, middleware, and enterprise technologies within a DoD environment.
• Provide senior-level technical direction, engineering oversight, and independent analysis on complex issues related to Oracle application and database systems.
• Administer and optimize technologies such as Oracle EBS Financials, RAC, GoldenGate, Active Data Guard, and Fusion Middleware 12.2+.
• Lead system architecture reviews and ensure compliance with DoD security frameworks and operational standards.
• Manage and support a broad suite of Oracle tools including SOA Suite, OBIEE, Hyperion, EDQ, SSO/OAM, OIM, UPK, and GRC.
• Mentor cross-functional technical teams, ensuring optimal uptime, secure performance, and scalable operations.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive technical documentation, system designs, troubleshooting guides, and strategic recommendations.

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure, Oracle platforms, and middleware systems.
• Proven success managing large-scale Oracle environments supporting over 300,000 production users.
• Expertise in Oracle EBS Financials ERP, Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, Active Data Guard, and performance tuning.
• Deep experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware 12.2+, SOA, OBIEE, Hyperion, and related tools.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, DoD RMF standards, and STIG compliance.
• Active IT-I Critical Sensitive or Tier 5 (T5) clearance at the time of proposal submission.
• Outstanding communication skills with a strong ability to create and present polished technical documentation to government stakeholders.
• Preferred: Oracle certifications, experience with DoD financial systems, large-scale ERP/cloud migrations, and FedRAMP environments.
