We are seeking a detail-oriented Implementation Specialist to lead the onboarding and optimization of healthcare practices on advanced EHR systems and operational platforms. In this role, you will collaborate closely with client stakeholders and internal teams to ensure seamless adoption of population health tools and value-based care initiatives. You will manage projects from initiation to completion, deliver training, and provide ongoing support to practices to enhance efficiency, compliance, and patient outcomes. The position offers opportunities to influence workflow improvements, integrate innovative data strategies, and mentor practice staff while contributing to a mission-driven healthcare environment. You will operate in a dynamic, remote-first setting with occasional travel, engaging in complex problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Accountabilities:

The Implementation Specialist is responsible for driving successful implementations and practice optimization. Key accountabilities include:

  • Independently manage multiple implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
  • Conduct EHR system assessments, optimizing workflows and maximizing the use of technology for population health initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver clear, structured training for diverse audiences, including clinicians, IT staff, and practice leadership.
  • Facilitate change management and coach partner practices to adopt value-based care models effectively.
  • Support data exchange and integration, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting for population health analytics.
  • Resolve complex operational and technical challenges, providing expert guidance on EHR configuration and adoption.
  • Lead initiatives to improve implementation processes, promote best practices, and enhance team capabilities.

Candidates should demonstrate strong healthcare implementation experience and technical proficiency:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
  • 4+ years of client-facing project leadership experience in healthcare, including ambulatory practices, EHR vendors, health plans, hospitals, or consulting.
  • 3+ years of implementation or optimization experience with top-tier ambulatory EHRs (Epic Ambulatory, NextGen, Athena, Greenway, eClinicalWorks).
  • Strong project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in complex healthcare environments.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills for presenting technical and operational concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable learning new EHR platforms and workflows.
  • Ability to travel periodically to client sites and company headquarters as required.
