Full-Time Software Engineer (Global Contractor)

As a Software Engineer, you’ll join a high-performing team building production-grade systems that power AI-driven solutions for the financial sector. You will own projects end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to deployment and ongoing improvements. Accountabilities

• Design, build, and ship production-grade features across the technology stack.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in collaborative code reviews.
• Contribute to system architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Use AI-powered tools to enhance development speed, quality, and testing coverage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly, focusing on learning and iteration.
• Document technical decisions and communicate effectively in an asynchronous environment.

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record in shipping and maintaining production systems.
• Strong programming experience (ideally with Elixir and Phoenix LiveView) and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
• Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL preferred), including performance optimization and observability.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and DevOps tools such as Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong focus on testing, reliability, security, and clean code practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across time zones.
• Bonus: Experience working in small, fast-paced, and remote-first teams.
