Senior Robotics Software Engineer

Overview

Union seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to develop and maintain Fabric, our integration layer connecting industrial equipment with our Manufacturing Execution System (Faction). We are looking for candidates who've genuinely owned projects from start to finish and know how to deliver in high-performance, collaborative teams.

Responsibilities

• Own integration software solutions from initial development through deployment.
  

• Solve challenging software-to-hardware integration problems with minimal guidance.
  

• Ensure robust, maintainable code through testing and documentation.
  

Requirements

• Proven track record delivering at least one substantial software project (personal or professional) end-to-end.
  

• Demonstrable coding experience beyond coursework (e.g., internships, significant personal projects, open-source contributions).
  

• Genuine interest in industrial automation and seeing code translate directly into physical results.
  

• Deep understanding of professional software development practices (version control, CI/CD, testing).
  

Bonus Requirements

• Direct experience with SCADA or PLC integration.
  

• Familiarity with one of the following Go, Rust, Java
