Job Description

The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the activities of a project to ensure schedule and quality standards are met. T5 excels at delivering complex infrastructure projects and is hiring a Senior Project Manager to oversee and coordinate large-scale utilities and offsite infrastructure projects for a hyperscale client. In this position, you'll serve as the Owner's Representative, overseeing end-to-end project delivery for critical utilities and offsite infrastructure components in a remote Texas location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interface with the Client to ensure critical utilities and offsite infrastructure integrity.
  • Provide oversight across the delivery of utilities and offsite infrastructure projects in a design-build environment, ensuring alignment with project delivery schedules and stakeholder expectations and full accountability for T5 scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Act as the primary onsite representative for the owner, ensuring consistent alignment between field execution and client expectations for utilities and offsite infrastructure.
  • Coordinate across disciplines (design, construction, commissioning, etc.) to ensure seamless project integration and handoff for utilities and offsite infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering firms & general contractors throughout all project phases for utilities and offsite infrastructure projects, including mobilization, execution, punch list, and turnover.
  •  Monitor change orders with stakeholders and monitor resolutions to prevent delays and mitigate financial risk in utilities and offsite infrastructure projects.
  •  Monitor construction progress and prepare regular executive-level updates on key metrics, schedule forecasts, constraints/issues, risks, etc., for internal and client stakeholders on utilities and offsite infrastructure projects.
  • Deliver constructability input on designs for the assigned campus utilities and offsite infrastructure to ensure cost-effective, buildable solutions.
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve construction processes, safety practices, and overall efficiency across T5’s growing portfolio of utilities and offsite infrastructure projects.
  • Apply working knowledge of utilities and offsite infrastructure systems, including, substations/power, water, sewer, fiber, and civil/roadway systems.
  • Weekly executive-level reporting to leadership on project status and constraints for utilities and offsite infrastructure.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong working knowledge and experience managing projects related to critical infrastructure, utilities, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent experience, required 2
  • 7+ years Project Management experience, required
  • Mission Critical Construction industry experience, required
  • Data Center experience, required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Individual must be driven, hardworking and dedicated, required • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, required
  •  An energetic self-starter with a “can do/whatever it takes” attitude who can perform under pressure, work successfully on tight deadlines and identify and resolve problems as they arise, required • Ability to read and comprehend design drawing packages.
  • Leadership, Risk management, stakeholder coordination and collaboration, project controls, problem solving, construction planning skills required.
  • Must be proficient in: Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and CAD/Visio, BlueBeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Procore
  • Ability to support a rotation work schedule
