Manager I, Business Development, Strategic
The Manager I, Business Development, Strategic is responsible for leading a team of Equipment Specialists focused on Hunting Licensing and Local Decision-Making Accounts. This role drives the execution of Ricoh’s Equipment and Services Strategy, ensuring profitable growth and deepening client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a sales team to execute Ricoh’s Equipment and Services Strategy, ensuring alignment with company standards and goals.
- Drive profitable growth in equipment and core services across assigned accounts, including contract retention, expansion, and new service adoption.
- Hold Equipment Specialists accountable for achieving sales KPIs, generating new business, and closing deals.
- Establish clear expectations and routines, inspect sales activities, and help build the new Hunting Program, including incentive structures.
- Collaborate with internal teams, especially Marketing, to align resources and support sales initiatives.
- Engage with peers and specialty teams to resolve issues and improve growth processes.
- Coach and develop team members in Hunting sales skills and Ricoh’s selling methodology.
- Assess team talent, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and create development plans.
- Proactively contribute to achieving company financial targets.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in product and service sales.
- 5+ years of sales management experience.
- Strong background in consultative selling.

Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based with standard lighting, ventilation, and noise levels.
- Work involves interpreting complex information and conveying it effectively.
- Minimal physical effort; mostly sedentary with occasional walking, standing, and light lifting (under 10 lbs).
- Approximately 30% travel required, including overnight trips.
