Each year, more than 7,500 pedestrians are killed by drivers in the U.S.—a number that has increased by 70% over the past decade. Despite growing awareness, most cities still struggle to curb dangerous driving. “Vision Zero” efforts across the country are falling short.
Obvio AI exists to change that.
We deploy solar-powered, AI-assisted cameras to enforce traffic laws where pedestrians are most vulnerable—automating enforcement in ways that police departments or traditional systems cannot. Our approach has already led to a dramatic reduction in reckless driving and improved safety for pedestrians, drivers, and law enforcement alike.
Founded by the team behind Motive’s AI dashcam, Obvio is backed by Bain Capital Ventures and Khosla Ventures. We recently raised a $22M Series A and are working with some of the most forward-thinking cities in the country. With meaningful revenue, a massive market, and strong policy momentum, we’re building the intelligence layer for safer streets globally.
We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager to take ownership of core product lines at the intersection of cutting-edge AI, hardware, and civic infrastructure. You’ll drive high-impact initiatives across camera intelligence, enforcement workflows, and ticketing operations—collaborating with engineers, city officials, field ops, and courts.
This is a high-leverage role: you'll shape strategy, influence roadmaps across functions, and own products that directly impact public safety outcomes and revenue growth.
Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of critical product initiatives across hardware, software, and operational systems
Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, operations, legal systems, and government stakeholders
Design scalable, repeatable solutions for complex public safety problems—from real-time detection to citation delivery and resolution
Use customer research, data analysis, and intuition to deeply understand user needs and define product direction
Collaborate with engineering to build technically sound and operationally viable systems.
Shape GTM strategy and product narratives that resonate with policymakers, city partners, and the public
Hire & mentor junior PMs as the team grows and help shape Obvio’s product culture
7+ years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping and scaling impactful products
Experience working across cross-functional teams and domains—especially where software meets operations or hardware
Ability to work through ambiguity with structured thinking and clear decision-making.
High customer empathy—across a range of stakeholders like city leaders, law enforcement, and everyday drivers
Strong technical fluency—you can navigate engineering tradeoffs and speak the language of systems and architecture
Proven leadership in setting vision, aligning teams, and delivering outcomes with urgency and quality
Comfortable operating in a founder-led, high-velocity startup environment
Experience in govtech, mobility, logistics, or smart infrastructure
Exposure to computer vision, IoT devices, or regulated systems
Prior work with public agencies, courts, or field ops-heavy environments
Your work will help save lives and improve road safety
Series A of $22M led by Bain Capital
Fast-moving startup environment with meaningful ownership
Competitive compensation and early-stage equity
