The role of the Workday Talent Solutions Analyst serves as a key contributor in connecting enterprise performance processes with the Workday Talent Management platform. This role leads the development and execution of configuration testing, authors test scenarios, and partners closely with HRIT and vendors to validate system readiness. The analyst also manages change requests and drives process optimization to ensure solutions are scalable, functional, and aligned with project goals. Success in this role requires a strategic mindset—one that connects technical execution with broader business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Bring a system-savvy strategic voice to cross-team testing discussions representing Talent Management
Actively participate in Talent Management workstream calls to stay aligned on design decisions and share testing updates or implications when applicable
Own the full lifecycle of Workday Talent Management change requests—consult with stakeholders, shape requirements, drive submission and tracking (JIRA), assess downstream impact, lead UAT planning and execution, and ensure smooth deployment
Develop and maintain testing scenarios, scripts, and UAT plans; actively explore AI capabilities (e.g., eXpertGPT, Writer) to accelerate and enhance scenario creation and documentation
Lead TM testers in executing assigned scenarios—ensuring documentation is complete, timelines are met, and results align with expected outcomes
Evaluate upcoming WD Release Features, both Mandatory and Optional for potential impact on existing design, processes, and user experience
Create and maintain SOPs, job aids, and knowledge articles that support effective use of talent systems and processes
Fuel manager and employee success by creating clear, user-friendly documentation, training resources, and rollout support for WD updates.
Lead or support small-scale talent initiatives and reporting efforts; apply technical expertise to enhance Workday usage in alignment with performance and talent strategies
Analyze Workday talent data to uncover insights, inform planning efforts, and identify opportunities to improve processes
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree strongly preferred, advanced degree or equivalent work experience in an HR discipline highly desirable.
Minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources or related business functions.
Experience with Workday Talent Management or another form of Human Capital Technology, including testing, process support, and change request execution preferred
Demonstrated flexibility in a fast paced and changing environment required
Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships and establish a high level of credibility across functions, geographies, and lines of business required
Demonstrated ability to consult across business and technical teams to define, document, and refine system requirements and process flows
Experience coordinating complex projects in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Ability to assess the impact of system changes and new releases (Workday and other tools) and translate them into clear action plans
Experience or openness to using AI-enabled tools to improve documentation, testing, and knowledge management processes
Solution-oriented mindset with the flexibility to navigate ambiguity and evolving business needs.
