Position Overview:
As a core member of Inversion’s engineering team, you’ll operate at the intersection of product, blockchain, and business transformation. You’ll own the technical foundation of our chain, lead integrations with fintech partners, and serve as the technical voice in strategic initiatives as we evaluate and execute new acquisitions.
This is a hands-on, high-agency role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and delivers tangible results at scale. You’ll work in small, focused teams to design, build, and deploy blockchain solutions that directly power our customers’ businesses — shaping outcomes that matter in the real world.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate deeply across teams: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers, product leaders, and our portfolio companies to design, build, and deploy blockchain-powered systems that solve real business problems.
Engineer and integrate at scale: Build and operate blockchain infrastructure (Avalanche subnet or EVM-compatible), fintech layers, and data pipelines that anchor financial and operational workflows on-chain.
Develop bespoke solutions: Design and deliver custom applications, APIs, and integrations that translate complex business needs into production-grade systems across diverse industries.
Engage directly with customers: Partner with stakeholders from technical leads to CEOs, guiding blockchain adoption through clear communication, rigorous execution, and pragmatic trade-offs.
Drive end-to-end delivery: Own projects from ideation through deployment. Navigate ambiguity, adapt rapidly, and raise your threshold for solving hard, messy problems that create real enterprise value.
Qualifications:
Strong technical foundation: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field. You understand data structures, algorithms, and systems architecture, and you can apply them pragmatically.
Forward-deployed mindset: You thrive working close to the customer, embedding with real teams to solve operational problems hands-on and at speed.
Systems thinker: You see how pieces fit together — from data models to user experiences — and design solutions that work end-to-end.
Exceptional communicator: You can fluidly translate between technical and business contexts, from code reviews with engineers to strategy discussions with executives.
Ownership bias: You take initiative, define paths where none exist, and see projects through to production.
Startup-ready: You prefer velocity over bureaucracy and impact over process. You’re energized by building in ambiguity and scaling what works.
Preferred Skills:
Experience at Palantir, Anduril, Scale AI, or in other forward-deployed engineering roles.
Hands-on familiarity with blockchain systems (EVM, Avalanche, Cosmos, Layer 2s).
Fintech or payments experience (KYC/KYB, custody, settlement).
Background in distributed systems, data pipelines, or production debugging.
Exposure to smart contract deployment or security best practices.
Prior work in startup or high-autonomy environments.
Compensation:
Inversion offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary and discretionary bonuses. The role provides significant potential for asymmetric upside, especially for individuals who are passionate about driving innovation in the blockchain and investment space.

Why Inversion:
At Inversion, you will play a key role in transforming industries through blockchain technology and private equity. This is an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of finance and technology, where your contributions will directly impact both the operational and financial success of portfolio companies. If you are a strategic, execution-driven leader who thrives in high-growth environments and is excited about the potential for blockchain to reshape traditional business models, we encourage you to apply.
