Skills
- 5+ years building and deploying web applications and services to production
- 5+ years building and maintaining production-ready cross-platform mobile apps (Flutter, React Native, Ionic)
- Hands-on experience with Flutter mobile development
- Familiarity with backend services (Golang or similar) and web frontends (React/TypeScript)
- Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and integrations
- Proficiency debugging production issues and working with monitoring/metrics
- Experience with testing, CI/CD, and scalable architecture patterns
- Clear communicator comfortable giving and receiving structured feedback
- Experience working on remote teams and in fast-paced startup environments
Responsibilities
- Own the vision, architecture, and delivery of the mobile application
- Design, implement, test, and deploy scalable, maintainable systems for patients, families, and clinical staff
- Collaborate with product and design to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Build and manage integrations with third-party systems (APIs, webhooks)
- Ensure appropriate test coverage, monitoring, and observability for mobile and backend services
- Diagnose and remediate production issues quickly and effectively
- Provide technical oversight, review code, approve pull requests, and enforce best practices
- Mentor and up-skill less-experienced engineers and lead engineering reviews
- Research and integrate commercial libraries and tools to meet requirements
- Deliver features iteratively and participate actively in agile processes
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent practical experience
- Relevant professional experience preferred over formal degree when applicable
