Medical School Admissions Consultant, Residency

Inspira Education Group is a fast-growing edtech startup focused on democratizing access to high-quality admissions coaching for medical, legal, business, and college applicants. They are seeking a physician (currently in residency or completed MD) who is passionate about mentorship and admissions coaching to guide medical school candidates through application strategy, document preparation, and interview readiness.

Skills

  • Experience reviewing medical school applications and serving on admissions committees
  • Strong English reading, writing, and editing skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and interview coaching ability
  • Project management and organizational skills including timeline and tracker management
  • Comfort with virtual coaching, documentation, and basic spreadsheet tools (Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Advise prospective medical school applicants on school selection, application strategy, and program fit
  • Review and edit application materials including essays, resumes/CVs, and recommendation strategies
  • Manage relationships with applicants and families, providing ongoing strategic and tactical guidance
  • Support interview preparation and mock interviews with actionable feedback
  • Track applicant progress, create and maintain timelines and Excel-based trackers
  • Stay current on medical school admissions requirements and program-specific nuances

Education

  • MD degree (currently in residency or completed MD)
  • Graduate of a top US medical school (per role requirement)
  • Experience on a medical school Admissions Committee (application review/decisions)
