Business Intelligence Analyst (Part-time)

We're seeking a proactive Business Intelligence Analyst who can independently explore data, uncover insights, and create compelling visualizations that drive business decisions. This role requires someone who combines technical proficiency with analytical curiosity and the ability to communicate findings effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Investigation

• Take business questions or topics and independently dive into available data
• Identify anomalies, trends, and patterns in datasets
• Conduct thorough analysis to surface actionable insights
• Present findings in clear, business-friendly formats

Visualization & Reporting

• Build dashboards and data visualizations for stakeholders
• Create self-service reporting tools for recurring business needs
• Design visual presentations of complex data stories

Data Collaboration

• Work with data engineers to identify data gaps and collection opportunities
• Understand and navigate table structures and data architecture
• Propose new data sources or schema improvements to support analysis needs

• SQL: Strong querying abilities for data extraction and analysis
• Python: Data manipulation and analysis (pandas, numpy, etc.)
• Trino: Experience with distributed SQL query engine
• AI Tools: Comfortable leveraging AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to accelerate learning andb problem-solving
