Compensation Range:

$75,278.65 - $119,655.38

Position Summary:

Hiring Salary Range: $73,086.07 - $80,394.068. Depending on qualifications.

Job Description:

Develops methods to incorporate technology into addressing business solutions for the College. Maintains operation of business unit technology systems that operate in conjunction with the College’s primary Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Assists with implementation and use of technology solutions. Ensures compliance with State Board of Education rules, policies and procedures. Reviews and evaluates college use of technology to perform processes and procedures. Recommends changes to current processes and procedure to improve process efficiencies.


• Defines business processes and information systems required to support new initiatives.
• Monitors performance of business processes and establishes performance measures.
• Identifies areas requiring improvement and tasks requiring the most time or with high error rates.
• Develops solutions to improve process performance or to meet other regulatory or strategic institutional needs.
• Serves as liaison with Information Technology in identifying, developing, testing and operating information systems.
• Primary contact for questions regarding system capabilities or operation.
• Develops and maintains procedures.
• Ensures training is available for all resources supporting institutional operations.
• Analyzes and integrates standard use of systems and data between HCC processes.
• Prioritizes multiple activities and projects.
• Performs other similar and related duties as required.

Additional Job Description The position: (1) supports accounting, payroll, budget, capital project functions of the College to ensure effective and efficient operations, (2) serves as operational liaison to develop, coordinate and maintain automated financial systems of the College, (3) provides centralized research and develops financial reporting and analysis tools (4) ensures compliance with State Board of Education rules, policies and procedures, (5) coordinates the preparation of required federal, state and or private financial reports, (6) performs special projects as required and (7) supervises other professional staff.

Job Duties:

  • Support Workday Financial configuration across a combination of the following modules: Projects and Billing, Business Assets Expenses, Banking and Settlement, Financial Accounting and Grants Accounting
  • Participate in bi-annual Workday release regression testing and security setup for the uptake of new features
  • Stay updated on the Workday roadmap and propose changes and solutions in areas of focus
  • Directs reporting and analysis functions for areas such as capital projects, accounting and/or budgets for the college to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Develops ad-hoc reports to conduct data analysis and validation. Analyzes trends to recommend process and/or operational improvements.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates the daily accounting activities to ensure effective and efficient operations, while effectively supervising other professional employees.
  • Serves as an information technology liaison to develop, coordinate and maintain the automated financial accounting systems of the college.
  • Coordinates the preparation of federal, state, and/or private financial reports.
  • Assists and advises auxiliary operations regarding financial activities.
  •  Perform daily administrative and production support tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and at least two years prior-related work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Success in this role hinges on your technical aptitude, quantitative abilities, and business acumen:

  • Workday experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, database structures(SQL).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data for the preparation of financial records.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to present in written and verbal format.
  • Knowledgeable in Workday Financials while also having the ability to step back and understand the business needs.
  • Ability to be part of a great team, but capable of operating independently - managing relationships, deliverables, and expectations with your business partners.
  • Ability to remain detail-oriented while working across a variety of projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partners
  • Be personable, approachable, and able to connect with each person on the team and throughout the business.
