Manager, Law Department Strategy & Operations

Harbor is a leading provider of strategy, legal technology, operations, and intelligence services supporting law firms, corporations, and law departments. We are seeking an experienced, team-oriented Manager for the Corporate Law Department Strategy & Operations service line to lead client engagements, optimize legal function strategy and operations, and drive adoption of process and technology improvements.

Skills

  • Strong project and budget management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
  • Data analysis and benchmarking experience
  • Client-facing communication and stakeholder management
  • Team leadership, coaching, and staff development
  • Process improvement and change management capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day client engagements, manage project plans, budgets, and deliver high-quality client deliverables
  • Support practice leadership in business development, proposals, and external thought leadership
  • Manage data gathering and analysis including reports, interviews, focus groups, and surveys
  • Guide implementation of recommendations with client teams and internal staff
  • Oversee client invoicing, review and approve time entries and invoices
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members
  • Drive internal practice initiatives such as new revenue channels, recruiting, and marketing

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Computer Science, MIS, Economics, Accounting, Finance)
  • Advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred but not required
