Legal Technology Consulting Manager - Discovery and Data Management

Harbor is a leading provider of legal strategy, technology, operations, and intelligence services working with law firms and corporate legal departments. The Legal Technology Consulting Manager, Discovery and Data Management will lead eDiscovery and legal hold system implementations, manage client relationships, mentor junior staff, and support practice growth while delivering high-quality project execution.

Skills

  • Proven project management for technology implementations
  • Deep hands-on experience with eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Exterro, Relativity, DISCO, Nuix, M365 Purview)
  • Knowledge of EDRM and FRCP and practical eDiscovery workflows
  • Experience creating solution designs, SOPs, test plans, and training materials
  • Ability to run stakeholder workshops and translate legal/IT requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience with integrations, data preservation/collection workflows, and information governance
  • Client-facing communication, mentoring, and team leadership
  • Budget, resource, and timeline management

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple eDiscovery and legal hold system implementation projects end-to-end
  • Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, status updates, and issue tracking
  • Facilitate workshops with senior legal and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and define future-state processes
  • Design solution documentation, workflows, SOPs, RACI matrices, and test scenarios
  • Advise on eDiscovery best practices and map current workflows to technology-enabled solutions
  • Develop change management strategies and lead or facilitate user adoption activities
  • Partner with clients and vendors to develop training materials and deliver end-user training
  • Serve as primary client escalation contact and cultivate long-term client relationships
  • Mentor and coach junior team members and contribute to practice methodologies and tools
  • Support business development activities including proposals, SOWs, and vendor/partner relationships

Education

  • Four-year degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Information Science, Data & Analytics, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Relevant certifications or continuous professional development in eDiscovery or legal technology a plus
