Skills
- 8+ years in security operations with senior/lead experience
- Deep AWS security architecture and hands-on configuration experience
- Advanced Python for automation, detection, and tooling development
- Experience deploying and tuning SIEM, EDR, SOAR, DLP and vulnerability platforms
- Strong Linux, container, and Kubernetes security skills
- IAM at scale using IaC (Terraform) and least-privilege design
- Incident response, threat hunting, and digital forensics capabilities
- Excellent cross-functional communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Lead strategy, design, and tuning of real-time security monitoring and high-fidelity detections across AWS and corporate environments.
- Architect, deploy, and optimize security tooling (SIEM, EDR, DLP, SOAR) and AWS native services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF).
- Drive continuous improvement of the Vulnerability Management Program and execute large-scale remediation efforts.
- Design and build automation and orchestration using Python and SOAR to reduce response times and operational toil.
- Lead complex incident response investigations, root cause analysis, and cross-team remediation coordination.
- Perform proactive threat hunting using telemetry from logs, endpoints, and cloud services.
- Advise engineering teams on secure AWS architecture and integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in on-call rotation, use insights from incidents to improve systems and mentor team members.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant industry certifications are desirable (e.g., CISSP, GCIH, AWS Security)
