Green Street is seeking a journalist with a wealth of newsroom experience who is highly skilled at editing stories for content and style. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate complex financial transactions and business models into plain English. The Deputy Editor will work closely with reporters on assignments and ensure that our scoop-oriented articles are presented accurately, concisely and in context for our sophisticated readers.
Green Street is the publisher of Real Estate Alert, Commercial Mortgage Alert and Asset-Backed Alert, leading titles in the business-to-business financial news industry in the U.S., as well as online news sites in Europe, Canada and Australia. In addition to a strong work ethic and superior track record, the Deputy Editor position requires the following skills: outstanding editorial skills; deep journalistic experience as both reporter and editor; sharp interpersonal skills, including exceptional oral communication abilities that instill staff loyalty, dedication and comradery; a high level of organization, creativity and resourcefulness; an ability to work independently and multi-task; experience with online publishing and content management systems. Familiarity with financial concepts and terminology is a plus, but not required.
