The US healthcare system is complex, error-prone, and financially draining. Medical bills and insurance coverage shouldn’t be this hard to navigate. At Granted, we’re building the one solution every American can turn to for help.
Thanks to AI and new regulations, Granted can fight claim denials, correct billing errors, negotiate bills, and make coverage easier to understand—saving people time, money, and stress. Our goal is simple: to be the #1 platform that empowers all Americans to take charge of their healthcare.
Founded by a former Oscar Health leader, we’re a seed-stage company with $17M in funding. We’re lucky to be backed by the founders and investors at Hugging Face, Rocket Money, Oscar Health, CaseText, Forerunner Ventures, RRE Ventures, and more. We are well-funded for the next few years.
We’re looking for a Founding Product Designer to own and elevate design across our mobile and web platforms as we move from early traction to public scale. This role is for someone who loves 0-1 product work, thrives in fast cycles, and is excited to build a category-defining healthcare experience from the ground up.
As our founding product designer, you’ll shape our design philosophy, systems, and execution. You’ll create clarity in ambiguous spaces, move quickly without sacrificing craft, and be a critical partner to engineering, the CEO, and the entire EPD team. As we grow, there will be opportunities to take on broader design leadership - potentially even heading the function.
Own UX/UI across our mobile apps, web app, marketing site, and internal tools—turning complex healthcare flows into simple, trustworthy experiences.
Build our design systems from the ground up: components, patterns, and frameworks that let the whole company ship faster and more consistently.
Apply excellent visual taste—clean hierarchy, polished UI, and strong aesthetic judgment—to ensure every surface feels modern and trustworthy.
Bring clarity to ambiguity—turning fuzzy problem spaces into crisp concepts, prototypes, and smart tradeoffs for leadership to react to.
Pair user research with product analytics to understand behavior and advocate for decisions grounded in real user needs.
Partner tightly with engineering, Product Management, and the CEO to drive product strategy, narrative, and end-to-end UX coherence.
Elevate our design culture by raising the bar for craft, communication, iteration, and cross-functional collaboration.
Have 4–7+ years of product design experience, with real end-to-end ownership, ideally in consumer apps.
Bring excellent visual taste—strong UI, clean hierarchy, and a high bar for polish across every surface.
Have a user + data mindset, pairing qualitative feedback with analytics to drive decisions.
Thrive in 0-1, high-velocity environments, moving from concept → prototype → launch quickly.
Communicate clearly and expose your thinking - making collaboration with our CEO, eng, and product crisp and fast.
Operate with true ownership: proactive, resourceful, and comfortable making decisions with imperfect info.
Bring range across interaction, visual, and prototyping work (with some light brand experience as a plus).
Are energized by growth opportunities and could play into a broader design leadership role as we scale.
📢 You don’t need to check every single box—if you bring the right skills and drive, we want to hear from you! 📩
