At Glide we’re reimagining the banking experience for the modern world. Our white-label embedded fintech platform empowers legacy financial institutions, like community banks and credit unions, to pioneer novel digital experiences for their customers.
You’ll be joining an all-star team with engineering, product, and growth experience from Stripe, Google, and Amazon.
We’re bringing a new perspective to the decades-old financial world, and we’re hoping you can help us along the journey!
Are you a software engineer who loves solving problems with people, not just for them?
We’re looking to bring on a Full Stack Engineer who will work directly with our credit union, community and regional banking customers to bring their ideas to life. This role is perfect for someone early in their engineering career who’s eager to explore the intersection of engineering and customer success — building features, solving technical challenges, and making our customers wildly successful.
As one of our early engineering hires, you’ll get to:
Work directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into scalable, impactful solutions
Collaborate with a senior, entrepreneurial engineering team that’s passionate about mentoring and helping you grow
Join a fast-growing, Series A startup where your work will have an immediate and lasting impact
Help shape the foundation of our customer-facing engineering organization
Your Responsibilities:
Move seamlessly between frontend and backend to build well-tested, secure features for our core web product
Create trustworthy, safe user experiences using Typescript, React, Node.js, and NextJS
Contribute to the design of scalable architectures that can serve hundreds of thousands of end users
Bring designs to life through clean, maintainable, and performant code
Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, product managers, and the broader engineering team to deliver features that matter
Contribute to our DevOps pipeline (CI/CD, testing frameworks, deployment processes) to keep our delivery fast and reliable
Need-to-Haves:
1–3 years of professional software development experience (or equivalent projects/internships)
Experience with Typescript, Javascript, React, Node.js, and NextJS
Familiarity with modern, responsive HTML & CSS
Experience using data fetching libraries like React Query/Tanstack or tRPC to synchronize client and server data
Understanding of software engineering best practices (architecture, testing, component libraries)
Exposure to CI/CD, Version Control, and DevOps tools like AWS, Git, and Docker
Strong communication skills and an ability to work directly with customers to solve problems
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with automated testing frameworks
Prior experience in customer-facing or cross-functional roles
A desire to own a product end-to-end — from conception to delivery
A collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit
What will make you stand out as a candidate:
Startup experience or clear experience owning/building in a 0→1 environment.
Experience supporting or working on modern SaaS or Fintech products.
Experience building support tooling or internal developer enablement systems.
Past experience interfacing directly with enterprise customers.
Knowledge of Fintech industry standards, compliance, or integrations
This isn’t a back-office engineering role — it’s a chance to own projects end-to-end, interface with our customers daily, and directly shape how community banks and credit unions serve their members.
