Job Description Summary

The Heavy Duty CMPD Services Leader is a critical people leader role in the global Configuration Management and Product Definition (CMPD) organization.

This role has two overlapping levels of responsibility which elevate it above a standard people leader role. First, this leader is a key member of the General Manager’s staff in both the CMPD team and the Heavy Duty Services ITR organization and owns the strategic relationship and shared priorities between the two teams. The Services Leader is the single point of contract for all Services related support across CMPD including Gas Turbine PDE, Steam Turbine PDE, Generator PDE, Accessories PDE, Configuration Management, and Technical Compliance functions.

Secondly, this individual serves as the People Leader for the high performing Accessories Services Product Definition Engineering team in Greenville (~8 direct reports) which supports the execution of conversion, modification, and uprate projects globally. This Greenville team is supported by an additional 30+ dotted-lined or contractor resources globally.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute the strategy for the CMPD team that is aligned with Engineering partners in the Heavy Duty Services organization.
  • Serve as a coach, mentor and leader for direct reports and coordinate the global services PDE strategy with the global center leaders.
  • Drive daily management rhythm focused on SQDC.
  • Inspire and motivate the team and invest in versatility and technical growth.
  • Manage operating budgets and demand / capacity implementing proactive and strategic actions to align the team to execute the business needs.
  • As the single point of contact, coordinate all CMPD support for HD Services including configuration management, compliance, accessories product definition, and flange to flange product definition.
  • Partner with engineering and manufacturing organizations globally to align priorities and promote a “one team” environment.
  • Promote continuous improvement through Lean.
  • Drive visible harmonization with global CMPD teams including design, tools and processes.
  • Provide strong and proactive team representation during the NPI and Services Requisitions budget planning cycle.
  • Deliver innovation and optimization in support of the Digital Thread strategy
  • Promote an inclusive environment where everyone can contribute and grow.
  • Role model the GE Vernova Way: drive innovation, serve our customers, lean is how we work, win as one team, and drive accountability.
  • People Leader for the Greenville product definition engineering team which delivers 3D CAD models, Bill of Materials, and Drawings required for the build and installation process of services upgrades and modifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a STEM major
  • 10 Years experience in power generation or similar industry

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong communication, presentation, and organization skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and operations capability, with ability to influence across organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the creation of strategic plans and drive their execution
  • Ability to take the initiative to drive initiatives to completion
  • Experience leading fast paced OTR and program/project execution team
  • Experience leading, working across global teams, and building partnerships
  • Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers
  • Proven ability to achieve business targets
  • Experience leading, working across global teams and building partnerships
  • Previous experience in Product Definition Engineering (or Gas Power Engineering more broadly) is helpful, but not a strict requirement for this role
  • Familiarity with NX / E3D /AutoCAD and Enovia or other PLM system
  • Experience in accessories engineering design and/or accessories product or process experience (helpful, but not required)

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, The base pay range for this position is $131,700.00 - $219,300.00 USD per year.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
