Fourier is working on making on-site Hydrogen universally accessible. Our breakthrough architecture enables highly modular and fully automated electrolyzers that scale to any size and optimize efficiency at all loads. We are on a mission to transition the global energy landscape towards a purely sustainable and emission-free future.
We are looking for a Deployment Engineer to aid the successful and reliable deployment of our system on customer sites. This role will start supporting several short term pilot projects, it will then morph into a lead commissioning role for permanent system installation. Fourier engineers work in a hands-on, collaborative environment to solve problems and push progress forward. Qualified candidates should have prior hands-on experience working in an industrial setting helping to ensure customer success.
Responsible for end-to-end operational deployment: from transit to customer site to setup and final acceptance testing
Responsible for planning and alignment with the customer on technical and implementation requirements
Ensure site conditions are feasible for system requirements and operational success
Organize, plan, and execute on site preparation
Meet and exceed customer performance and safety expectations
Design and prototype tools to help with deployment
Be able to effectively communicate and collaborate and partner with the Engineering team to collect and analyze data to improve system performance
High level of problem-solving ability to quickly debug on-site issues
Required:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical, or Equipment Engineering or equivalent
3+ years of relevant experience
Hands-on experience in deployment and/or technical program management
Great communicator and execution ability in high pressure situations
Comfort working in heavy industry sites
Willingness to frequently travel to customer sites (50%+)
Preferred:
Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D) in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
Experience in the following areas:
Hands-on work with gas and/or water piping
Analyzing energy systems
Working with hydrogen or similar gasses
Experience with troubleshooting Linux based control systems.
