JOB SUMMARY: The IT Facilities Manager’s role is to oversee all IT Desktop Support staff and ensure that end users are receiving the appropriate assistance. This includes the responsibility of managing all procedures related to identification, prioritization, and resolution of Desktop Support incidents. The IT Facilities Manager is responsible for the monitoring, tracking and coordination of Facilities functions. This would include support and coordination of IT Printers, Desktops / Laptops, Digital Signage, and Audio-Visual Equipment. The IT Facilities Manger will provide and oversees onsite support for all Executive Conference Room Meetings. The Facilities Manager is also responsible for planning, designing, and analyzing the organization’s Facilities according to best practices, while ensuring high levels of customer service quality and availability. This individual will also work with the IT Director to develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent service levels and quick resolutions. The IT Facilities Manger will also contribute to escalated problem resolution by giving hands-on support whenever necessary.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following activities:

  • Work with Service Desk Manager to develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and establish problem resolution expectations and timeframes that align with Excelerate’s IT Governance Model.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AV equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future AV equipment and corporate technology needs.
  • Set up, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot teleconferencing equipment, multimedia devices, televisions, monitors, projectors, recording equipment, speaker sets, digital cameras/camcorders, and other presentation equipment.
  • Collaborate with organizational policy-makers to establish and enforce proper AV practices and procedures.
  • Build and maintain a spare parts inventory for all IT Facilities equipment. This includes Printers, Desktops / Laptops, and Audio Visual Equipment.
  • Provide in person “White Glove” support for Executive Team Conference Meetings and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Analyze performance of Facilities activities and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent future problems. Assist with helpdesk tickets to resolve Excelerate Energy’s end user’s issues in a timely fashion. 
  • Oversee incoming booking requests for AV equipment and setup.
  • Oversee Desktop / Laptop Deployment Schedules in all office facilities.
  • Oversee Desktop / Laptop hardware Support in all office locations.
  • Record and manage equipment sent to repair depots for equipment under warranty or service contracts.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required deskside service levels.
  • Assess the need for and implement performance upgrades to end-user devices based on software technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with LAN technicians/network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company’s end-user computing environment.
  • Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation networking software products.
  • Track and analyze trends in Help Desk requests and generate statistical reports. 
  • Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) based on request trends and make recommendations.
  • Identify, recommend, develop and implement end user training programs to increase computer literacy and self-sufficiency.
  • Oversee the development, implementation and administration of global Facilities staff training procedures and policies.
  • Monitor incident trends and anticipate potential problems for proactive resolution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience working within information technology.
  • Familiarity with advanced principles of ITIL are preferred.
  • Experience in the most current technologies and products used in the industry.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and customer service skills.
  • IT Certificates from leading companies such as Microsoft and Cisco are a plus, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is a plus but not required.
