Eurofins PSS is seeking a passionate and dedicated experimental stem cell biologist. The candidate will work directly on the client site in Cambridge, MA, and will collaborate with scientists from multiple therapeutic areas (Immunology and Neuroscience) to validate targets, drug candidates, and biomarkers with the objective of developing improved human model systems and leveraging these translational model systems to better understand the mechanism of action for early discovery targets. The candidate will utilize genetic (CRISPR) and pharmacological manipulations of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) model systems to validate the role of targets in mechanisms related to the pathobiology of human diseases. The focus of the role will be to differentiate iPS-derived immune cell types for use in cell-based assays and to incorporate them into intestine and skin organoid model systems for the client Immunology team. The candidate will support the client’s dynamic and innovative early discovery research environment and will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
This is a hands-on position. The ideal candidate shall have excellent lab skills, strong documentation skills, the ability to analyze and summarize data to draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
