- Proven engineering leadership and team-building experience
- Strong technical foundation in at least one: TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Kotlin, or Ruby on Rails
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Track record scaling consumer-facing, high-traffic platforms
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on lodging search and selection.
- Manage end-to-end development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, technical quality, and scalability.
- Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to align engineering work with company objectives.
- Drive engineering best practices, agile processes, and metrics to optimize team productivity and reliability.
- Advocate for and integrate new technologies and tooling to improve performance, observability, and developer experience.
- Translate technical concepts into actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional partners.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
