We are seeking an experienced Research Scientist to join our team. The person who fills this role will perform exploratory, but grounded and directed, analyses into existing and future datasets to uncover new insights, driving modeling decisions and strategies to have real-world impact on patients with physical disabilities.
Performing feature exploration to find more information-rich and robust features in existing neural datasets
Probing neural encoding of behavior and external stimuli to inform model designs and training strategies
Designing and assessing neural-control strategies for optimal co-adaptation / learning within brain-computer interface applications
Working collaboratively within a small team to develop and assess neural-decoding models and translate scientific findings into product implementations
Maintaining versioned, clear, and highly documented code, analysis pipelines, and results for maximum interpretability and reproducibility
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Math, Engineering, Neuroscience, or other relevant field
A minimum of 2 years of academic or industry research experience working with neural time-series datasets
Experience building encoding and decoding models with brain activity
Proficiency in Python and PyTorch
A PhD in Math, Engineering, Neuroscience, or other relevant field
Experience designing real-time decoding strategies for brain-computer interfaces
