Group Director, Influencer Marketing

DEPT® is a growth invention agency operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, partnering with ambitious global brands to drive measurable growth. The Group Director, Influencer & Creator Marketing will lead and scale the influencer practice across strategy, sales, client leadership, and activation, building teams, offerings, and partnerships to deliver creative and performance-driven influencer solutions.

Skills

  • Expertise in influencer and creator strategy across paid, organic, and performance channels
  • Proven new business and pitching experience in an agency environment
  • Strong client leadership and executive communication skills
  • Experience building and scaling teams and operational processes
  • Commercial acumen including budgeting, pricing, and margin management
  • Deep knowledge of creator platforms, trends, and monetization models
  • Cross-functional collaboration with media, creative, analytics, and operations

Responsibilities

  • Lead influencer strategy and storytelling in new business pitches, RFPs, and proposals to drive agency growth.
  • Serve as senior influencer lead on key client relationships, advising CMOs and senior marketing leaders on creator strategies and outcomes.
  • Develop and evolve DEPT®’s influencer point of view, frameworks, tools, and ways of working across paid, organic, and performance.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a multi-level influencer team; own headcount planning and capability growth.
  • Establish and manage senior relationships with creators, talent agencies, and platform partners; lead casting and partnership decisions.
  • Partner with creative, media, production, analytics, finance, and ops to integrate influencer work and ensure commercial, legal, and operational rigor.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Relevant certifications or continuous learning in marketing, media, or analytics are a plus
