Skills
- 3+ years developing production software in modern languages (Java, Python, Go, NodeJS)
- Experience with Agile and lean software development practices
- Modern version control systems experience (Git, Subversion, Mercurial)
- Experience building and operating containerized services on orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
- Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- CI/CD pipeline design and security automation
- Familiarity with multi-region platform design and high-availability strategies
- Strong communication and mentoring capabilities
- CompTIA Security+ CE or other DoD 8570 IAT II certification
- US Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance
Responsibilities
- Provide cloud architecture solutions for cloud-to-cloud and hardware-to-cloud migrations, including application assessment and migration planning
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes infrastructure for containerized applications
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for secure, repeatable deployments
- Develop and automate secure CI/CD pipelines and security automation within a DevSecOps framework
- Architect multi-region platform services to ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience
- Mentor junior developers and engineers, offering technical guidance and fostering professional growth
- Communicate technical concepts and architecture decisions to stakeholders across engineering and management
- Identify and document security requirements and control inheritance strategies (bring-your-own-ATO, IaaS vs PaaS)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and professional experience accepted
