Job Summary:
Crooked Media is looking for a dynamic, endlessly curious, and innovative producer for our daily news podcast, What A Day. Our close-knit team works hard to keep our news-hungry listeners from falling into the doom-scrolling abyss by giving them everything they need to know to start their day.
So if you can break down the latest catfight in Congress without breaking a sweat, or even find the humor in the fight over the debt ceiling – we want to hear from you!
Candidates must be able to work Sundays through Thursdays from 1pm to approximately 10pm Pacific time, and willing to adjust working hours in the event of breaking news or as other circumstances dictate.
Crooked has adopted a hybrid work model for our entire staff. We believe that the best work is done in a hybrid capacity as it combines the flexibility of working from home with in-person collaboration. We are ideally looking for Los Angeles-based candidates, or candidates willing to relocate within the first 3 months of accepting an offer.

Once we’re ready to extend an offer, we look at the individual’s years of relevant experience and other compensable factors to determine a competitive offer. And for this role, the starting salary is $100,000. This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America East Collective Bargaining Agreement.
