Job Description

The Regional EHS Manager supports and assists the Regional Vice President, Regional Operations Manager(s), Office Managers, Project Directors/ Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and all other management personnel in the establishment and application of safe practices throughout the region. This role works directly with CRB Management to balance safety requirements with production goals to ensure compliance with safety-related regulations, systems, and practices. The Regional EHS Manager handles the documentation and reporting of safety related records and materials in keeping with both internal and external requirements. The Regional EHS Manager will report directly to the VP of EHS.  

Responsibilities  

  • Supports and assists the Regional Vice President, Regional Operations Manager(s), Office Managers, Project Directors/ Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and all other management personnel in the establishment and application of safe practices throughout the region 
  • Handles the documentation and reporting of safety related records and materials in keeping with both internal and external requirements 
  • Work with senior management to ensure organization’s EHS compliance 
  • Design and implement EHS programs 
  • Manage emergency response incidents 
  • Implement corrective actions 
  • Conduct or lead training in applicable EHS areas 
  • Evaluate programs and issue recommendations and implement change 
  • Ability to influence 
  • Works directly with CRB Management to balance safety requirements with production goals to ensure compliance with safety-related regulations, systems, and practices 
  • Close collaboration and coordination with Central Executive team and other Regional EHS Managers 
  • Up to 50% travel

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and/or Environmental (or similar) from an accredited college or university or equivalent relevant experience required 
  • Seven to ten years of relevant work experience or demonstrates competencies consist with the role 

Additional Qualifications 

  • ASP, CSP, CIH, CFPS or CHMM certification  
  • Exceptional communication skills 
  • Excellent tact and diplomacy in dealing with others and the ability to deal with all levels of management, from field to corporate levels 
  • Team player and self-starter 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Strategic thinking abilities 
  • Proficiency with mobile devices and mobile form 
  • Capable of completing work assignments with little supervision 
  • Exceptional with mobile devices and mobile forms  
  • Case management/worker’s comp knowledge
