Skills
- 5+ years project management experience leading complex, cross-functional IT or managed services initiatives.
- Hands-on experience in IT/technical service delivery (infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or MSP environments).
- Working knowledge of project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) and ability to apply appropriate approaches.
- Proven ability to build or mature a PM practice, including governance, workflows, and reporting.
- Experience implementing or optimizing ServiceNow or similar ITSM/project tracking tools.
- Strong coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level summarization.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers to ensure strong execution, clear communication, and effective conflict resolution.
- Design, refine, and enforce standardized project delivery processes, templates, and workflows to increase consistency and predictability.
- Evaluate and optimize project systems (including ServiceNow) for tracking, workflows, and reporting; recommend improvements or alternatives.
- Oversee project governance: scope alignment, timeline management, risk escalation, documentation quality, and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Client Lifecycle, Procurement, Finance, and Delivery leadership to remove roadblocks and support project flow.
- Run or participate in daily huddles to identify impediments, clarify priorities, and help PMs maintain momentum.
- Improve backlog visibility and ensure structured tracking of WIP hours, aging projects, and upcoming demand.
- Develop and maintain dashboards tied to delivery metrics (utilization, timeliness, budget adherence, CSAT, onboarding health, mean delivery times).
- Identify high-risk or delayed projects early, implement corrective actions with PMs, and deliver concise executive updates.
- Drive continuous improvement by removing operational inefficiencies and streamlining cross-functional communications.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
- PMP or equivalent credential preferred but not required.
