Job Summary
We are seeking an established and dynamic Head of Creative Strategy to lead our planning team at Xfinity's full funnel in-house advertising agency, Xfinity Creative. Reporting to the VP, Managing Director, this senior leadership role will drive the strategic creative vision across all brand touchpoints, ensuring our highly visible communications are culturally relevant, strategically sound, and aligned with our core brand strategy and business objectives. Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
Develop and execute comprehensive creative strategy across 360-degree campaigns, ensuring brand consistency and cultural/contextual relevance.
Lead strategic planning for integrated communications including traditional, digital, social, and content marketing initiatives.
Translate complex business briefs into clear, actionable creative strategies that drive measurable results.
Champion multicultural strategy initiatives to ensure authentic representation and connection with diverse audiences.
Guide digital strategy development to maximize engagement across all digital platforms and touchpoints.
Collaborate closely with brand management leadership, creative, account management, and production to ensure end-to-end strategic alignment.
Partner with brand marketing teams to deeply understand Xfinity's brand purpose, voice, and positioning.
Work with consumer insights and research teams to inform strategy with data-driven consumer understanding.
Serve as strategic consultant to internal clients, providing expertise on brand strategy and campaign development.
Present strategic recommendations and campaign concepts to senior leadership and key cross-functional stakeholders.
Communications Planning & Channel Strategy
Partner closely with media planning teams to develop channel-specific creative strategies that maximize message resonance and effectiveness.
Lead communications planning process to ensure strategic alignment between creative messaging and media placement.
Develop contextually relevant creative approaches for each channel, considering platform behaviors, audience expectations, and content consumption patterns.
Create channel-specific strategy frameworks for television, digital video, social media, display, audio, outdoor, and emerging media platforms.
Ensure creative work is optimized for each touchpoint while maintaining consistent brand narrative across the customer journey.
Collaborate with media team on audience targeting strategies to inform creative messaging and ensure contextual relevance.
Guide development of platform-native creative solutions that leverage unique channel capabilities and user behaviors.
Creative Brief Development & Strategy Translation
Oversee development of compelling, insight-driven creative briefs that inspire breakthrough creative work.
Ensure creative briefs clearly articulate strategic objectives, target audiences, channel specifications, and contextual considerations.
Translate business objectives into creative strategies that balance brand building with performance goals across multiple touchpoints.
Develop communications planning frameworks that align creative messaging with media strategy and audience behaviors.
Create strategic guidelines for contextual messaging that considers placement environment, audience mindset, and channel dynamics.
Team Management & Development
Build, lead, and develop a team of multi-disciplinary creative strategists.
Foster an innovative, and collaborative, team culture that encourages creative excellence and strategic thinking.
Provide strategic guidance and creative direction to ensure team delivers best-in-class work.
Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and talent acquisition efforts for the strategy team.
Build team capabilities in emerging areas including social strategy, content strategy, influencer strategy, and digital innovation.
Experience & Background
12+ years of progressive experience in advertising, marketing, or brand strategy.
5+ years in senior leadership roles managing strategy teams.
Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Proven track record developing successful integrated marketing campaigns for major brands.
Experience working in high visibility and fast-paced in-house agency, traditional agency and/or corporate marketing environments.
Strong background in telecommunications, technology, or consumer services industries preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with marketing technology platforms and data analytics tools.
Background in brand transformation and/or re-positioning initiatives.
Experience working with external creative agencies and vendor management.
Strategic & Creative Capabilities
Deep understanding of brand strategy, communications planning, and creative development processes.
Expertise in integrated communications planning with strong knowledge of channel-specific creative optimization.
Proven experience developing contextually relevant creative strategies across multiple media channels.
Experience with data-driven strategy development, campaign optimization, and cross-channel performance analysis.
Understanding of media planning principles and ability to collaborate effectively with media teams.

Primary Location Pay Range: $234,303.90 - $351,455.85Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
