Mechanical Plumbing Engineer (0-3 Years)

Coffman Engineers is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer for our LA - Woodland Hills office. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the engineering design of various plumbing and piping systems within multi-family residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The ideal candidate should have a desire to work and grow as a team player within a multi-discipline engineering firm.

Compensation and Benefits

• Approximate Base Salary – $75,000 - $90,000+ based on experience
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
• Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution

Essential Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Strong passion for engineering in, or previous experience in, the AEC (architectural, engineering and construction) industry
• Report routine project status updates to senior engineer or project manager
• Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight, mentoring, and training
• Ability to work and collaborate with other team members in larger multi-discipline project teams
• Ability to perform construction site observations and summarize findings in a report
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications

• Registration as an E.I.T. in CA
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Familiarity with relevant codes including mechanical, energy, plumbing
• Familiarity with both HVAC and Plumbing systems
• Familiarity with submittal and shop drawing review
