Carnegie Mellon University, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, has a work-at-home Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer position within our University Advancement Department (with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems) responsible for designing, developing, and delivering new software platforms and system functionality enhancements for the University Advancement marketing team and related University partners. Specific duties include: (i) leading software requirement and development efforts for the Department’s marketing team, including translating the marketing platform vision into an aligned technical/software solution; (ii) managing the software development and technical enhancement of the SFMC platform tool; (iii) performing SQL based query software development, data management, and technology optimization; (iv) building custom platform reporting and data exports; (v) creating dynamic and complex software scripting solutions; (vi) conducting software testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance measures; (vii) maintaining technical knowledge of the SFMC platform and advising the Department with respect to the same; and (viii) supporting technical software integrations with other Salesforce solution platforms for the Department.
This is a fully remote position, and the employee can work from anywhere in the United States.
Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Network and Communications Management, or another directly related technical field plus three (3) years of experience in the Marketing Automation Administration field.
Experience must include three (3) years with each of the following: (i) hands-on design, prototyping, development, configuration, and testing; (ii) SQL Master; (iii) implementing automated solutions utilizing Marketing Cloud Server-Side Java Script (SSJS); (iv) building websites using SFMC CloudPages; (v) web service integration (REST/SOAP); (vi) managing system updates through version control software, such as Git; and (vii) documenting and reporting status of technical builds.
Experience can be concurrent.
Must also have knowledge of: (i) Salesforce CRM platform and Marketing Cloud Connect, including the Marketing Cloud contact data model; (ii) how to translate technical solutions into functional web components or SFMC components; and (iii) how to develop dynamic email templates.
