I've worked for CT for almost 2 years. I've worked in the tech space for other start ups before (but never before in freight) and this has been by far my best experience. I absolutely love my clients, my manager, my team, and what we do. My job is varied and challenging, with lots of room for growth and learning. I also LOVE being fully remote, that is a huge value for me as well.Cons
Start up life is not for everybody. I am already used to it and it suits me, but many people get frustrated understandably about how rocky, messy, chaotic it is. Often you have to figure out or build what you want or need as you go. The freight and tech industry have been in the dumps, so that is a bummer. I missed out on the glory days which ended about when I was hired. So I'm really hoping to see this through to the other side. But in the meantime, money is tight and career growth doesn't seem to be a reasonable focus rather than keeping ones job, at the moment. Also- lay offs. This couldn't be helped, as the market completely tanked. But it is extremely stressful even though I was lucky to be spared through both rounds we had in the first half of 2023. It took a while for me to shake off feeling very insecure about my position. But, knocking on wood, I feel very optimistic for the coming year, and excited to see where we go!Provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care to Seattle-area pets while working with a supportive, veterinarian-owned mobile practice.
