Skills
- 6+ years building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Experience with ClickHouse or relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Proficiency with Kubernetes ecosystem: Helm, Kustomize, operators, service mesh/Istio
- Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including government clouds (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)
- Scripting/programming in Go or Python for automation and integrations
- Infrastructure automation with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, IRAP, Protected B)
- Strong production debugging, performance tuning, and reliability engineering skills
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly available, scalable, and secure ClickHouse Cloud platforms for regulated environments.
- Build deployment automation across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem systems, including disconnected/air‑gapped environments.
- Collaborate with Dataplane, Core, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure software parity and secure integrations.
- Design and deploy ClickHouse on Kubernetes and containerized platforms ensuring HA, replication, and backups.
- Develop and maintain Helm charts, operators, and Kubernetes manifests for database lifecycle management.
- Implement repeatable automation using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines for deployments and lifecycle management.
- Optimize database performance and storage architecture for on‑prem, hybrid, and government cloud deployments.
- Integrate secure authentication, encryption, and access control mechanisms to meet compliance standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for architecture, security, and compliance audits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, and operational issues in production environments.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Willingness to comply with U.S. federal contract requirements (see citizenship/PR requirement)
