Overview

Manager, Core Infrastructure's purpose is to inspire, organize, and lead the team that enables stable operations of the organization's IT infrastructure. The Core Infrastructure Manager has a product ownership mindset to timely deliver efficient, stable and secure compute, backup, storage, monitoring, application engineering, and load balancing services. Manager also acts as a trusted partner and consultant to the Information Systems applications, cyber security and clinical/medical informatics teams. Manager will be responsible for continuing to inspire and develop world class teams, execution and delivery of their products and services, continuous engineering excellence and improvements, cultivating and maintaining our strong culture, and partnership across the organization.

New employees must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005. If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the day-to-day operations and actively leads, inspires, coaches and mentors the Core Infrastructure team for growth
  • Provide friendly, concise, and informed technical support for Information Systems staff, end users, and all hospital staff.
  • Works with Information Systems engineering, architectural and management staff to design, select, and implement efficient, stable and secure technologies.
  • Manages the overall health and performance of the organization's technology infrastructure.
  • Maintains technical competency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years experience This is a technical management position requiring the ability to make decisions based upon the analysis of complex systems which can only be developed through post-secondary education or extensive experience in the field. OR
  • High School diploma, or equivalent, and 7 or more years experience. This is a technical management position requiring the ability to make decisions based upon the analysis of complex systems which can only be developed through post-secondary education or extensive experience in the field.
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Preferred
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Preferred
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Preferred
    • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Preferred
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) Preferred
    • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) Preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $55.70/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
