We’re scaling quickly and streamlining our manufacturing process, and we need detail-perfect data to flow cleanly from engineering to production.
Enter and scrub part data: clean up our Bill of Materials by populating property tables in Onshape with part numbers, descriptions, vendors, and metadata supplied by the team
Verify consistency & catch errors: cross-check entries across the Bill of Materials and flag discrepancies
Document your process: keep a simple log of completed batches, issues found, and questions for the team
All work is 100 % remote and asynchronous; sync meetings are minimal and scheduled flexibly.
Are fluent and efficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (sorting, filtering, simple formulas)
Have prior data-entry experience (invoice coding, CRM cleanup, etc.)
Are a clear written communicator who surfaces bottlenecks proactively
Can finish the project within the agreed window (2-4 weeks)
Have used Onshape or another CAD system and understand custom properties, part numbers, and revisions
Have touched manufacturing BOMs and/or PDM/PLM platforms
Rate: $25 per hour (paid bi-weekly via ACH or against submitted invoices)
Hours: 20 – 40 total, with the opportunity to extend if additional scope arises. Flexible schedule as long as milestones are met
Engagement type: Short-term 1099 independent contractor
Start: ASAP; target completion by early September
Location: 100% remote. Team collaborates primarily in U.S. Pacific Time
Tools: We provide an Onshape login; you’ll use your own computer and internet connection
NDA required: A mutual non-disclosure agreement will be signed due to exposure to proprietary CAD data
