Skills
- 10+ years working with large-scale biological imaging datasets
- Proven delivery of multiple large biological data products
- Strong experience with big-data workflows: ETL, storage, standardization, validation and QC
- Familiarity with orchestration and processing tools such as Argo Workflows and Databricks
- Solid statistical reasoning and machine learning fundamentals
- Experience with biological data analysis and QC best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration
Responsibilities
- Define technical strategy for a robust imaging data ecosystem and standards for formats and QC
- Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, validation, and analysis pipelines
- Collaborate with ML engineers, AI researchers, data engineers, and product teams to iterate datasets for model performance
- Discover and scope new data generation opportunities and manage delivery of data products
- Publish and support open data products and integrations with public resources
Education
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, engineering, or related field preferred
- Or equivalent industry experience in data science/engineering supporting biological imaging
