Software Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency in one or more of: Java, JavaScript, Python, ReactJS, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript
- Front-end development experience with JavaScript and related libraries/frameworks
- Back-end development experience with Java, Python, or similar languages
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Experience with web servers (e.g., nginx) and basic UI/UX considerations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn new technologies and get up to speed quickly
- US citizenship and eligibility for Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and modify general and specialized application software
- Analyze user needs and translate them into software solutions
- Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies
- Customize and optimize software for client use to improve operational efficiency
- Work on database design and coordinate database development as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions and improve user experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required)
